No essay can express how I feel when I saw this photo.



It's a photo of soldiers, waiting for take-off so they can finally return home. I guess this is a result of Barack Obama's announcement days ago, regarding how everyone from the US troops will return to America for good because the war in Iraq is finally over.

I guess I really am a Daddy's girl, because this photo made me cry out of misery. My dad served in the army, which also became the cause of his death. However, this photo also made me feel happy, because as soon as my father died, my brother decided to follow the path my dad chose to take. He signed up for the army immediately, and was just shipped to Iraq two years ago.

I'm just glad that the war is finally over. Now, I can stop worrying for my brother's fate. He can finally start a life over here, wherein he only needs to worry about earning money for my sister-in-law, and my little niece. At the same time, it still makes me feel miserable, because it makes me wish my dad didn't die. If only he's still alive, then he will also benefit from Obama's decision to withdraw the US troops. :(
