Men's wigs are becoming more and more popular and whilst the old fashioned toupees are often made fun of, a wig is something completely different. Balding patterns in men is very predictable and it usually starts as a really small bald spot right at the tip of your head. It then gradually starts working its way down to the sides of the head until you are only left with hair at the sides. Balding me rarely lose all their hair since the typical balding pattern just causes hair at the top of the head to fall out.
Full lace wigs are not only limited to women; for historically, men have been previously wearing wigs. During the colonial American period of the 18th century, wearing a wig amongst men was part of fashion. They purposely wore them to portray different appearances such as appearing older and to distinguish the class they belonged to. The different hair colours of signified a different status; say for instance, military men wore white, the tradesmen wore brown and other professionals wore grey.
