LONDON -- Britain's defense ministry says a soldier from the 1st Battalion Irish Guards has been shot dead in southern Afghanistan.
The serviceman was killed Wednesday during a patrol with a group of Afghan soldiers in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand province.
Task Force Helmand spokesman Lt. Col. David Eastman said the soldier,burberry, who has not yet been named,moncler pas cher, was acting as a mentor to the Afghan troops.
The defense ministry said the soldier's next of kin have been informed of his death.
He is the 345th member of the British military to have died in Afghanistan since operations began in 2001.
