Some things never change. Us ladies love to get all dolled up and when we do, we’re always sure to accessorize! As you know, the key element to successful accessorizing is to polish off your look with the perfect handbag. It’s been that way for a very long time, perhaps even earlier than we might imagine, but for argument’s sake, we’ll say back since around at least 1959. Take a look at the lovely lady pictured here; she has on a crisp fashion forward (for her day, of course) outfit, and an outstanding selection of accessories to enhance it. The key ingredient to her look? Yup, you guessed it, that picture perfect pink clutch! Where, oh where, would she be without it? Well, today she’d have a few more options!
We may not make our clothes and purses by hand much anymore, and I’ll admit, there’s a sort of pride that we lose along with our style nowadays, but we sure don’t lack options, and with options come personal freedom and creativity, so we make up for it in the long run. Today, if we wanted to polish off an outfit with a pink clutch, any given twenty of us, probably wouldn’t even end up with bags in the same shade of pink, let alone the same purse! A few of the hottest ones I found for us modern girls would include:
1. Nancy Gonzalez Shiny Frame Croc Clutch
2. Judith Leiber Fluted Beaded Clutch
3. Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Clutch
4. Carlos Falchi Buffed Python Box Clutch
5. Tory Burch Bombe Reva Clutch
So, which would you choose? Sound off in our poll below!

If you don’t want to be the one standing at the airport watching the black and brown and blue suitcases go ‘round and ‘round, you may want to invest in the Safari Leopard Three-Piece Luggage Set by Nicole Miller. The set consists of a 24” expandable upright, a 21” upright and a 15” tote. The durable luggage set fits in with this fall’s focus on animal prints so you’ll definitely be traveling in style. The faux leather piping and silver hardware give it a polished look and each piece has a convenient card holder for your I.D. But this set is not just for fashionistas – at $99 for all three pieces it’s for savvy shoppers as well. Get your set at Bed Bath and Beyond.

Another day, another bow-embellished bag. This time it comes courtesy of 3.1 Phillip Lim, one of my favorite labels evah! I felt it was necessary to disclose that, because I’m actually not loving the Edie Bow-Embellished Velvet Bag all that much. It’s an odd little thing that combines plush velvet with spiked studs for a sort of poorly executed glam-meets-edgy look. It’s just not working – but I do love that oversized bow. Available for $695 at Net-a-Porter.

I have no idea who these Top Choice people are, but they deserve some serious time in the spotlight. The label’s Bow Crossbody Bag is a fairly chic looking little purse that is extremely reasonably priced (and possibly one of the cheapest bags I’ve ever written about over the course of my many years here at Purse Page). Of course, cheap bags aren’t some new phenomenon, but what is new is a cheap bag that is actually decent looking. In your choice of black, gray or a floral print, it’s filled with functional pockets and can be worn crossbody or slung over the shoulder. Options, practicality, good looks, $14. Did I miss anything? Find it at Nordstrom now.

I don’t know what the fine folks at Fendi have been on lately, but they’ve been delivering the goods in a big way and I am tres impressed – and I usually am not even close to intrigued by the majority of Fendi purses. The label’s Maxi Polished Leather Shoulder Bag is another in a recent spate of designs that exude the sophistication and classic details that mean instant timelessness. The wine color and minimal gold hardware make quite a team, and the bag’s simple silhouette ensures its versatility. Fab. Available for $1400 at Net-a-Porter.

One of the things that’s at the top of my “someday” list is a really nice piece of cabin luggage. I want something I truly love, something I think is going to hold up for years. And a strong contender for my future bag is the Aspinal of London Candy Case. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing an Aspinal purse or piece of luggage in person, you know how insanely gorgeous they are. If not, you’ve got to get your hands on one of these beauties. Shown in Ascot Pink Jewel Calf (with 10% of proceeds for this color going to support breast cancer research),nhl jerseys, the Candy Case comes in a variety of gorgeous colors.
And if you need a little more incentive to shop Aspinal, now through December 6th, they’re offering customers the opportunity to get a free purse or men’s wallet with purchases over $350. Check out the available freebies here. And if you’re in the market for a Candy Case, you can pick one up at Aspinal of London for $895.

Our friends at Outblush got hold of this, designer replica handbags, and, well . . . we couldn’t let them have all the fun. For those gals who never quite got out of the horsey stage, there’s this Urban Horse Boot from Jill Atkins Designs. It used to be a horse boot, anyway, but with the addition of beads, a silk lining, eccentric sterling silver hardware, an embroidered panel from a Guatemalan blouse, and a big honking plastic fly, it’s now the handbag that no one, but no one, else at the club will have. Just $425 on etsy!
