Everything You Need to Know to Pull Off This Lovely Clean-Eye and Red-Lip Makeup Look
I promised you guys steps to West Coast Editor Jen Weinberg's red lips last week, and I'm not about to let you all down. So here are all the details to the pretty clean-eye-and-red-lipstick look makeup artist Michele Des Groseillers gave her at Blushington Makeup and Beauty Bar—complete with the exact products...
For reference, here are Rebecca and Jen after they got all glammed up for the Glamour Reel Moments event:

"I wanted to know the best way to do the bright lip, so Michele decided to go for glowing skin and a basic eye, then she pumped up the lip color. Here are her tips and tricks:
For the eyes: There are 4 easy steps to ensure a defined, framed eye.
1) Brush a neutral vanilla or warm beige all over the lid using a wide
, soft fluffy shadow brush. Not only will this even out any redness or imperfections, but it also acts as a highlighter.
2) Deepen right along the brow bone is a sweeping upward motion towards the outer corner of the brow using a tan or slightly rosy color. Tip: If you’re in a hurry, you can blend your bronzer and blush for the crease!
3) Add a small amount of a warm vanilla shimmer powder right underneath the brows for a nice highlight. And dot this same shimmer powder in the inner and outer corners of the eyes for a bright
, “awake” eye look.
4) Next, line the eyes and then blend the liner with a little dark powder. Curl your lashes and apply mascara to top AND bottom lashes to give you a wide-open
, wide-awake, defined eye.

For the cheeks:
Here we used a creme blush (the Stila shade called Peony) and applied to the apples of the cheeks. If you prefer powder blush, lightly sweep blush onto the apples of your cheeks, working in sheer light layers. Tip: For “glowy” skin, use the remaining blush color on your brush and sweep it across the forehead and chin. This can add that little bit of color needed to blend the bronzer and tie your makeup look together.
And, finally, for the lips:
If you want to play with a bright lip, you can pretty much try anything—a great stain, lipliner and gloss, creamy lipstick or even just a clear gloss. Here we used Julie Hewett Femme Noir lipstick, and then added lip blam to make it less matte. And voila!"
Thanks, Jen! It also appears that they went back and added a little more highlighter under the arch of her brow, 'cause I also got this shot from her:
And I'm tossing it up here so you can really see the rich color of that lipstick. Gorge

OK, show of hands. Who wants that lip shade now?
