The footbed is lined in sherpa so it does keep your feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It is not just a winter time boot. These boots are made by Ugg so of course they are super comfortable. They are slouchy and lay close to your leg and the footbed is lined in sherpa. You do not have to wear socks with these although you can if you want. Some people are weird about not wearing socks with their boots/shoes. They keep your toes cozy but as mentioned above you can wear them in the summer and they will not have your feet too hot. Grey Ugg Cardy\'s were recently seen on Madonna and on Kate Hudson while wearing a skirt in California... ahh, to be wearing a skirt in the winter, must be nice.
