ALMA-ATA , Aug. 5 (Xinhuanet) -- Two people have been hospitalized with anthrax in southern Kyrgyzstan after eating beef that has carried the deadly virus , Kyrgyzstan's Health Ministry said Thursday. News from Bishkek , capital of the country , said the two were infected with anthrax after they ate the ill cattle which was killed two weeks ago. They are treated at a hospital in Pakhta-Abad district of Oshskaya state , while other residents who also ate the same beef are taking antibiotic medicines. Anthrax is a deadly disease that can pass to humans from infected animals such as sheep and cattle.
