I have been working with spiritual entrepreneurs for many years. And I am always amazed at just how many of them buy into the concept of poverty consciousness. By believing that they can't be both spiritual and financially prosperous, they end up hindering their spiritual growth and leaving the world without benefit of their contribution. When it comes to creating wealth, spiritual entrepreneurs who think money and spirituality don't mix are headed for business disaster. And I'm here to tell you this: It doesn't have to be this way! If you would like to make peace with money and bring in the big bucks (and I know you would!), here are three stunningly simple ways to send poverty consciousness packing. Three Most Catastrophic Thoughts 1. Spirituality and financial abundance are mutually exclusive. Ever wonder why many spiritually minded people have big hang-ups when it comes to money? It's because they set the spiritual world apart from the physical, either by thinking money is the root of all evil or by pretending they don't need it. 2. It isn't spiritual to make lots of money. If this sounds like you, listen up: Your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes determine your business success or failure—not the amount of money you have. 3. It isn't spiritual to promote yourself. Self-promotion gets a bad wrap in spiritual circles. Consequently, many spiritual entrepreneurs miss out on genuine opportunities to be of service and provide solutions for the pressing challenges of potential clients. Three Simple Solution Steps 1. Make peace with your financial past. Debt is about the past. Instead of focusing on paying off debt, direct your attention to this moment. Learn how to flow to yourself all the money you'll ever want. No matter what your past actions with money have been, make peace with them. 2. Tell people how you can help them. Next time someone asks you what you do, be specific. Tell them how your product or service benefits others. Say, "I help moms start up businesses while juggling the demands of family." 3. Focus on excellence. Instead of focusing on money, focus on excellence. Each day, focus on being the best you can be. Focus on the lives you are touching and the people you are helping, and, as a result, the money you are making. Our times call for entrepreneurs who are excited about making money while including the spiritual dimension in their business. No matter how long you've struggled with poverty consciousness, you can start today to turn things around. Follow the simple steps I've outlined to make peace with money and become spiritually and financially prosperous.
