You see, every season the question is not will we be obsessed with at least one Proenza Schouler shoes, but rather which pair will it be (as seen here). This fall the question is remove – the mesh up cutout sandal. The snakeskin publish is perfect for fall and looks oh so plush. The Proenza Schouler boys have somehow managed to make the lace up style look quite elegant. They still have a bit of a difficult edge but we want to pair them with something lady like involving a full skirt (or maybe this tiered leather micro). We also like that it is really a faux lace up, averaging you do not actually act anyone lacing or tying, but the look is still accomplished.
Casual Cool In Ankle BootsOur love for ankle boots is well documented by this point. We don’t really feel the need to vindicate this, but we would favor to point out, that alive in Los Angeles, this style goes beautiful much annual round sooooo we do feel quite eligible to annotate on them. And while we love a super tall stiletto ankle boot paired with a cocktail dress or tuxedo jacket, today we are focusing on day applicable versions of the neatness. We have a magical pair of low-heeled tan boots that were part of an LD Tuttle for VPL collaboration final year. They were hard to ascertain and we had to do a little stalking – emailed the corporation – to trace them down. We’ve never been so amused with our obsessive shoe habits, and we must mention the people at LD Tuttle were wonderfully nice and helpful and were capable to direct us to our now favorite boots.
Instant Obsession – Balenciaga Spring 2012Last season, it took about thirty seconds because us apt fall entirely in love with Miu Miu’s glitter booties. Our instant addiction this season has come in the form of Balenciaga’s equally stunning patterned booties. No glitter this time around, but they are no less brilliant. And another, it would be impossible for us apt select fair an stand out pair so we are giving you all the shots beneath. Amazing!! And actually strangely alike apt the Miu Miu’s in that they have a sort of sandal over bootie trompe l’oeil entity going above.
Put A Bow On It – Valentino Pretties Up PracticalWe are all for classic no rubbish outwear here at Shoe We Want. As natural Californians we find the repose of the country rather cold with all those seasons and what no so when we are looking to be lukewarm and dry we don’t want to muddle around. We ordinarily opt for asset like L.L. Bean duck boots, Barber jackets and Helly Hansen rain slickers but Valentino’s latest offerings have us rethinking this philosophy.
Fall Appropriate Fanciness From Pedro GarciaWe’ve forever loved Pedro Garcia’s shoes. Something about the composition of satin and raw edges tethers us in every time. We find this pair of woven pumps especially perfect for more prim fall occasions. Fall can be a tricky time for fancy shoes. Sandals seem too bare to pair with darker, todsgroup, more actual dresses (not to mention tights) but booties might be too aggressive etc. The ideal is something with a closed toe that still shows a bit of foot. Very sly absolutely,Sac Chloé Pas Cher, but Pedro Garcia’s Woven Yancy Pumps definitely fit the bill.
More Loafers – Marais USA’s Classic PatentIt’s likely we are going via some sort of delayed withdrawal that there is no extra ‘back to school’ for us, but we really just can’t stop with the loafers. We’ve scrutinized tasseled options (still envious of the boys on these ones) and heeled varieties, but now we are going back to the orthodox style with this perfectly simple pair from Marias USA. They have all the classic elements to echo the preppy educate uniform vibe we love but are jazzed up in lustrous patent. Score!
Hiking Boots. Kind Of.We love hiking. LA hiking. The kind that requires merely sneakers and sunscreen, involves really pretty outlooks – either of celebrities at Runyon Canyon or the Pacific at Paseo Miramar – and ends with a Bloody Mary. We do not, of course, agree in the variety of hiking that requires actual hiking boots or packages of any kind. No, not since we were sent to a ‘summer camp’ (our mother will renounce this, but it was basically a hippie commune/youth inn) in our youngster have we engaged in the ‘let’s go browse the honor of nature’ type of hiking. HOWEVER, that has not stopped up from forming an unnatural attachment to lace up high-heeled styles that vaguely approximate boots of the trail blazing kind.
Our Favorite Pair of Rockstuds YetWe are a little bit frightened to say we aren’t fans of the native Rockstud pump because we don’t want you guys to scream at us, but there was just someone not quite right about it also us. We wanted to like it, really we did. We love studs. Put studs on a bagel and we’d rock it for a bracelet. But for us, even the increase of studs could not save the low heel + ankle belt combo and the whole thing just appeared a morsel like it was trying to hard. We are whatever, tods loafers, rejoiced with the new Rockstud suede sandals. Perfection, with just a few studs. The fashion of this shoe is gorgeous. They buffet the ideal balance of fancy and haphazard and for us in LA will work year round.
Hey East Coasters – Order Now To Prevent Blizzard PanicLast winter we were constantly creature inquired at East Coast friends what shoes they could wear in a blizzard that would still permit them to look reasonably cute. Being Northern California born and currently residing in LA we have spent very little time in snowy airs. Our four years of campus on the other beach were largely spent whining about how freezing we were while wearing wildly inadequate measures of clothing. But of course, our shoe love transcends climate and so we offered up the best counsel we could – see here. This year our advice is to purchase some fashionable warm boots now so you don’t freak out come February when it will inevitably be freezing and watery and gross. More specifically, we warn buying Rag & Bone’s shearling lined motorcycle boots.
Round Up – Heeled LoafersSo tall heel loafers have been all overthe area lately and while we are slightly on the fence on the style, we must say there is something very appealingly back-to-school about them. They make us want to tie our hair in a altitude tie, and you understand, look studious. They could definitely look quite sharp with office attire but we’re planning to wear them with pants and chunky sweaters (current faves from Adam and Haute Hippie) as whereas we’ve been diligently working away in the library all night.
