The San Diego County Sheriff's Department today appealed for help in finding additional witnesses to a possible hate-crime attack on African American teenagers at a party last month.
More than 150 high school-age students were attending a party on April 11 in rural Dulzura when a brawl broke out. Several African American teenagers were reportedly beaten as their attackers yelled racial slurs.
So far
cheap ugg boots, 22 sheriff's investigators have interviewed 43 witnesses; interviews with 12 more are pending. The department wants help in finding another 25 to 30 witnesses at the party.
The department has identified seven victims of the alleged assault -- all of whom had left when deputies arrived at the party.
