MOSCOW mens gucci belts, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Terrorists behind latest deadly attacks in Syria were aimed at scuttling UN-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan's peace plan in the volatile country, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
"Behind the terror attacks in Syria, there are those who act against peaceful efforts to normalize the situation in that country and want to forcefully change the political system in Syria," the ministry said in a statement.
"Terrorists started a large-scale campaign to destabilize the situation in the country and undermine the plan of Kofi Annan," the ministry said, adding Moscow urged the international community not to let Annan's plan fail.
Meanwhile, Russia also condemned the terror attacks in the town of Idlib and expressed condolences to the relatives of those killed, the ministry said.
On April 27, a suicide bomber detonated a bomb in the Syrian capital of Damascus, killing nine people and injuring nearly 30. Three more suicide bombings hit Syria's northern city of Idlib on Monday, causing dozens of casualties.
The violence in Syria, which erupted in March 2011, has claimed over 9,000 lives, and displaced tens of thousands.
Currently, 15 UN observers have been deployed in several Syrian cities and the number of UN observers is to reach 100 by mid-May.
