Low Battery ? iPhone 5S track user's movement

applem7_0314.jpg

Definitely curious revelation that an Apple user has recently posted on Reddit: " I was traveling abroad and the charger of my iPhone 5S has stopped working" . Not having the opportunity and time to solve the problem immediately, the user has left his iPhone 5S becomes exhausted completely so that it was no longer possible to turn it on again until they return home four days later.

Glarznak , this user's name, was surprised when - when the power of the iPhone 5S(bling phone cases) - he discovered that all his movements were tracked , however , even with the smartphone completely off. So he describes his experience : " I often use Argus ( an application designed for athletes and fitness enthusiasts , however, for which traces the routes taken , calories burned , progress during training and so on ) and I was very impressed to learn that my iPhone 5S had recorded " my feet " during the previous four days , when the phone was off . "

Argus , like other similar app , takes advantage of the characteristics of the motion coprocessor M7 , which collects data from accelerometer, gyroscope and compass to lighten the work of the A7 chip and improve energy efficiency .

The conclusions are obvious : the coprocessor M7 could continue to operate even when the battery drains to not allow the ignition of the device . For its operation would then suffice that little bit of power left in the battery, and that is enough to keep fed certain components.
