KINSHASA, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Supreme Court of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) confirmed Joseph Kabila as the winner of the country's Nov. 28 presidential elections.
The Supreme Court on Friday ruled that Kabila was re-elected with the same results that were announced by the National Independent Electoral Commission (CENI) which was 48.95 percent of the votes cast,Portefeuille Louis Vuitton, against 32.33 percent for his main rival Etienne Tshisekedi.
While reacting to the decision by the Supreme Court, members of the Congolese opposition party affirmed that this ruling will plunge the country into a serious political crisis.
"Our party, the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS) wants to condemn this act of electoral hold-up which confirms the culture of rigging that characterized the presidential election. The coming days will be very difficult for the country," said Serge Mbayo, a senior official Tshisekedi's party.
The Supreme Court on Thursday termed the case for cancellation of poll results filed by Vital Kamerhe,Louis Vuitton Echarpe, one of the presidential candidates as admissible,Chanel 2011, but dismissed it later.
