ANKARA , July 15 (Xinhua) -- Turkey's anti-drug police seized a large amount of drugs in two operations in Turkey on Friday , the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.In a joint operation of narcotic teams from eastern province of Van and southern province of Kilis, Turkish police confiscated 50 kg of heroin stashed in a car in Van province , according to the report.The police arrested one suspected person in connection with the haul , said the report.In another operation , Turkish security forces confiscated 133 km of hashish hidden at a flour mill in Fethiye town of the western province of Mugla on Friday , said the report.Turkey is a key transit route for smuggling drugs from Asia and the Middle East to markets in western Europe.
