SUMATRA , Indonesia, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Heavy rains in Indonesia will greatly reduce the dangerous haze that had spread through Malaysia and towards Singapore, a report said. The air pollution was caused by clearing fires set by farmers, plantation owners and miners in Sumatra , Indonesia , the Asia News Network reports. The haze increased the number of asthma attacks in Malaysia last week. Heavy rains thrashed Sumatra Saturday and more is predicted Monday by Indonesian forecasters, which will quell the fires and thin out the haze.Related Topics Articles：
