The device, which was unveiled during Mobile World Congress held last February in Barcelona, combines the functionality of a tablet with the versatility of a smartphone, thanks to HSPA + technology allows the terminal to make voice calls and use messaging services linked to phone numbers.
The Fonepad, which comes with Android Jelly Bean OS 4.1, has a 7-inch screen with HD resolution 1280 by 800 pixels(Hyundai T7 Quad Core), an Intel Atom Z2420 dual core 1.2 GHz, one GB of RAM and internal memory, depending on model, 8 or 16 GB, expandable to 32 via microSD card, 4,270 mAh battery, which gives the device a range of approximately 9 hours of use, and dual camera, a 3 main megapixel camera and a 1.2 front for video calls.
In addition, the device has unique applications developed by Asus, as Webstorage OfficeOnline, which allows working with Office files from anywhere; SuperNote, to take notes or draw directly on the screen(Tablet PC). The company also notes that the Fonepad Taiwan has incorporated speakers audio improvements thanks to ASUS SonicMaster technology and powerful processor Waves MaxxAudio sound.
The Fonepad is available at a very competitive price: 229 euros. In addition, Asus has wanted to hit the market along with two accessories; VersaSleeve cover 7 which allows you to place the device in two positions for comfortable reading and writing, and TurnCase, a hard case with stand that holds the device upright.
