Elise Overland and the Power of Leather Pants
At last night’s Elise Overland presentation, I noticed the models acting a little strange: one almost missed her cue because she was doing a little dance in the corner
boutique yves saint laurent, one giggled as her friend tried to adjust her Alexander Calder-designed crown, while another started imitating Michael Jackson’s signature crotch grabbing move. They were, in short, having fun. (Gasp!)
It’s not often that catwalkers appear so at ease in their clothes (they normally make super serious
Burberry Doudoune, I’d-rather-be-golfing faces on the runway) and I think we have Elise’s leather pants to thank for their upbeat mood. The designer made her name whipping up the rock’n’roll trousers for both rock and style stars (Shakira and Heidi Klum have both donned a pair of Elise’s leather pants.) and as a friend who owns a pair herself whispered to me “I know leather anything is awful
belstaff london, but these pants make me feel like such a badass in these it's insane.”
But while Elise’s leather pants, edgy draped dresses
spyder ski sale, studded minis and long vests gave the models a little boost of confidence, their shoes appeared to be taking a toll:
If leather pants or sky-high stilettos aren't your thing, what in your wardrobe to you pull out when you need to feel a little
Gucci Sito Ufficiale, as Christian Siriano would say
the north face parka, fierce?
