When I first wrote a review for fashion alexander wang shoes  weekly on the brand Dsquared2 it was an emerging brand that had been created by two twin brothers from Canada who later brought their brand to Italy. The brand is Italian, or is it Canadian? Overall, its not very important. Dsquared2 continues to impress consumers who are not afraid to pay the steep price tag attached to a pair Dsquared2 jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, aiselin shoes etc.

I will discuss a bit about the Dsquared2 shoes that I saw when I was in Milan last year. They were from the 2010 collection as the Dsquared2 2011 collection had not yet been released. The shoes were mostly leather made and the styles were definitely not classic. They were fairly modern designs, I would not call them bold or over the top but they were definitely not your class Pradas or Guccis. This is where the Canadian element comes into the picture with regards to style I think. These shoes encompass a certain amount of Canadian quirkiness mixed with classical Italian  prada shoes elegance and attention to detail. Overall the 2010 collection did not disappoint me for what it is. Not 100% my style but definitely a popular choice for the youth or the young at heart. Also, although the price is expensive it is not as expensive as a lot of Italian-made footwear that I have reviewed in the past.

Dsquared2 shirts in my opinion were aiselin shoes not the brand's strongest point. However, the shirts were still fairly reasonably priced and the patterns definitely were appealing and unique. Most of the motifs on the shirts relates to the company's slogan: "Made In Italy Born In Canada". There were a lot of Canadianisms in the patterns like references to hockey, maple leafs etc. In the end they were cotton made t-shirts with fairly eye-catching styles. I can definitely see these being favourable amongst the youth. I will be sure to review the 2011 collection when I get the chance.

Overall, I was not disappointed with Dsquared2. It takes good advantage of its cross cultural origins. It can definitely span the gap between European and North American fashion trends and the hang-ups each consumers might have about each other's styles are overcome in Dsquared2.
