BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Top political advisor Jia Qinglin met with President of the Romanian Court of Accounts Nicolae Vacaroiu on Monday.
Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) spoke highly of Vacaroiu's contributions to the development of China-Romania relations.
Vacaroiu, who previously served as Romanian prime minister and president of the senate oakley dispatch II Sunglasses, has actively promoted friendly exchanges and cooperation between the senate and the CPPCC, according to Jia.
Jia said the CPPCC is ready to keep close communication with relevant bodies in Romania and exchange experience with them for the purpose of boosting cooperation between both countries.
Jia also commended the development of bilateral relations since they were established more than 60 years ago, saying the two sides should cherish their friendship and further promote substantial cooperation.
China hopes Romania will make full use of cooperative channels established between China and the region and continue to play a constructive role in promoting China's relations with central and eastern European countries, Jia added.
Vacaroiu said the Romanian people will not forget the support and assistance China has rendered in the past, adding that his country attaches great importance to its relations with China.
Romania will work with China to strengthen cooperation in all areas and further consolidate bilateral relations, Vacaroiu said.
