Callaway RAZR X Irons

Overview

The new RAZR X irons is Callaway's new flagship. Introduced for the 2011' season, the leader in technology vowed to provide an iron to the masses that would deliver in distance and forgiveness with a wide-sole, with retaining playability and turf interaction of a thin-sole. Team Callaway made this monumental task look easy.

Technology

To accomplish this great feat of combining the big 3 (distance, forgiveness, and feel), Callaway shifted 30 grams to the rear of the club, significantly lowering the CG (Center of Gravity), making this model 12% lower and 15% deeper than the X22 from the previous year!

By lowering the CG, Callaway took away the undercut of the heel and the toe areas subsequently raised the MOI (Moment of Inertia), improving ball speed on less than desirable strikes.
