BUFFALO, D.C., Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Many so-called helicopter parents, who hover over the lives of their children at U.S. colleges, say they have a problem but can't help themselves. "They'll call up and say, "Now look, I don't want to be a helicopter parent, but I really want you to check this out,'" said Sheila L. Hausrath, Niagara University's vice president for student life. One father of a Niagara University student wanted to meet with an adviser -- in place of his son -- to pick his son's courses,Men Nike Free 3.0, the Buffalo (N.Y.) News reported Sunday. The University of Buffalo has designated a separate department and staff person to deal just with parents. There is a separate family/parent orientation offered at the same time as student orientation -- where parents can meet "caring professionals who devote their careers to working with students."
