SYDNEY, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Australia's trade deficit narrowed more than expected in April foakleys bottlecap, according to data released on Friday by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
The balance on goods and services was a deficit of 203 million AU dollars (200.36 million U.S. dollars) in April, down from a deficit of 1.28 billion AU dollars in March and below forecasts of 900 million AU dollars for the month.
In April, exports of goods and services rose 3.0 percent to 26. 08 billion AU dollars while imports of goods and services fell 1.0 percent to 26.28 billion AU dollars, the ABS said on Friday.
Economists believe that commodity prices and regional growth are still affecting Australia's trade but expect the trade data to be better as the year progresses.
