LITTLE ROCK, Ark., June 30 (UPI) -- In a unanimous ruling, the Arkansas Supreme Court struck down a law barring homosexuals from serving as foster parents

The high court ruled that the state's child welfare review board overstepped its statutory authority when it considered morality in developing the regulation that banned gays from the state program, the report said.

"The review board was acting on what they believed was in the best interest of children, not on behalf of special interest groups," said Jerry Cox, director of the Family Council Action Committee, a Christian conservative group.Related articles:
