SHANGHAI, June 5 (Xinhua) -- A 74-year-old female company executive of Shanghai was sentenced to life in prison for corruption on Tuesday, a local court ruling said.
Wu Xiaoli, former general manager of Shanghai Gongxin Project Construction Supervision Center Ltd from 1994 to 2010 foakley sunglasses, was found to have embezzled 42 million yuan (6.6 million U.S. dollars) of the company's funds, the Shanghai No.2 Intermediate People's Court ruling said.
She was also found to have destroyed and fabricated account books and certificates between August 2009 and May 2010, after the state-owned company became a private enterprise.
The court confiscated 500,000 yuan of her property and all her illegal earnings.
