Here is a greatsuggested diet for hard gainers
Stick to this for 6 weeks or so and you will see definite growth
Breakfast: 6 egg whites,

Morning snack: protein shake,

Lunch: grilled chicken with whole wheat pasta and a garden salad
Afternoon snack: protein shake and an apple
Dinner: steak and yams (sweet potatoes) or steak and rice
Before bed: 12 cups of low fat cottage cheese (Cottage Cheese is a Casein protein meaning its much slower for your stomach to digest than whey protein.
If you can shoot for wholewheat pasta and brown rice as opposed to regular pasta and white rice since they do not give you an energy spike but more of a constant supply of energy.
The good thing with eating healthy is it is actually a lot cheaper than eating junk food
