Canadian cosmetics manufacturer MAC Cosmetics offers a wide variety of makeup, skincare and fragrances. MAC., which stands for Makeup Art Cosmetics, first gained popularity with makeup artists, photographers and models. MAC cosmetics are sold in more than 750 locations in 48 countries. MAC Cosmetics was founded in 1984 by Canadians Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo. MAC is part of the Estee Lauder company.

Since the new owners took a controlling interest in MAC in 1994, they have organized an AIDS fund which is dedicated to Frank Angelo who passed away in 1997 due to complications from surgery. All of MAC's Viva Glam products are made to help people with HIV and AIDS; 100 percent of the profits go to the company's AIDS fund.
